Idea #2 - Group Resource: Greg Finke's "Joining Jesus on His Mission"

So you have a group that wants to meet OUT and IN the community? Now what? What material do you choose to lead your discussions? Try Greg Finke's Joining Jesus on His Mission. 

I'm currently leading 4 groups through this book (1 at our home, 1 at McDonald's, 1 at Starbucks, and 1 at Panera Bread). We are also working through a 50-day devotional that corresponds with the book and involves reading through the Book of Matthew (you can jump into this devotional, starting with Day One, anytime. The blog will remain active even after my groups have completed the 50 days). 

I've been doing small groups for over 20 years, and this book would go on my list of favorites discussed and, more importantly, lessons practically applied to our lives as disciples of Jesus. 

The weekly discussions have been amazing and mutually encouraging! Seeing how God is at work within the hearts and minds of my small group members has been a joy to witness! I'm seeing new and renewed excitement for bringing the love of Jesus and His good news to our communities.
